No more trips to storage facilities with your measuring tape!

DigitCore's flagship product, the DigitCore Library, is the first available database offering 24/7 online access to thousands of digital core images and outcrop images.

We are working with a wide variety of sources to rapidly increase the number of cores from wellbores and drill holes throughout the world. Right now our geographical coverage is concentrated in areas such as:

  • Alberta, Canada

  • British Columbia, Canada

  • USA shale cores

  • Colorado, USA

  • Montana, USA

  • Nebraska, USA

  • North Dakota, USA

  • Utah, USA

  • Texas, USA

  • Wyoming, USA

  • International oceans / offshore

We are expanding international coverage by working with different companies, organizations, and governments which understand the benefits of sharing this geological information with their peers. We have created the Core Images Contribution Program to provide special incentives for everyone who contributes copies of their core images to the DigitCore Library.

All images are seamlessly integrated with DigitCore Software so that you can immediately start doing your own geological interpretations.

All core images in the Library include depths.

Cores are organized by well, drill hole, or outcrop location, and can be found by querying the list of images available (e.g. by formation) or through our Google Map interface.

When you download digital images, you select a well(s) you are interested in and all images for the selected well(s) will be downloaded together. In addition to digital core images, other data such as well logs and analytical reports might also be in the library and can be downloaded if such information was provided by the original source.

To download, view, and interpret core and outcrop images, you will need to (1) set up an account with DigitCore Library, and (2) have a DigitCore Software license.

Additional services provided by DigitCore’s team of geologists and technicians:

  • High-resolution core photography for clients;

  • Digitizing legacy data;

  • Building proprietary libraries that only you and your company / organization can access.
