DigitCore Library – Core Images Contribution Program
DigitCore's flagship product, the DigitCore Library, is the first available database offering 24-7 online public access to thousands of digital core images and outcrop images.
To date, most of our focus has been in North America. However, we intend to offer images from around the Earth as quickly as possible — with your help.
The good news is that the DigitCore Library is expanding on a weekly basis, which we believe is validation of not only the need for this type of service, but also in the crowd-sourcing momentum generated by reaching out to geoscientists everywhere.
Among the many potential sources for additional digital core images, four of them are:
-
Public core sample repositories;
-
Governments and geological research organizations;
-
Companies willing to contribute their digital core images to the DigitCore Library;
-
Individuals.

In particular, we encourage oil & gas and mining companies to contribute their proprietary digital core images to the DigitCore Library. In return, companies will receive credits that can be used to download other digital core images from the DigitCore Library for free.

Companies and organizations can also apply credits to offset any DigitCore costs when you hire DigitCore’s team of geologists and technicians to acquire digital core images from non-confidential wellbores through, for example, the Alberta Energy Regulator’s (AER) Core Research Centre.

We have designed our program to be a win-win for everyone participating.
