Good news for geologists who love the outdoors and who often take digital photos of the outcrops they encounter. When you return home, all it takes is a few minutes to upload and then interpret your outcrop images using DigitCore Software, and next, to share your geological interpretations with all of your peers working around the world.
With our new Outcrop Logging module, you can log outcrops the same way you log cores.
How it works is that you upload your outcrop image into DigitCore Software and select a section that you want to interpret. Then you can pick any geological features on the image, and those features will be recorded instantly on to the strip log that you imported. Facies/lithology can be overlaid directly on to the original outcrop image.

Please note: if all you want to do with our software is interpret some outcrops and you’re willing to share your interpretations with everyone through the DigitCore Library, we will consider providing you with the Outcrop Logging module free of charge. Send us a note.
